Eddie Van Halen’s Famous Danelectro Guitar Neck

This is Eddie Van Halen’s legendary 1960s Danelectro guitar neck!! One of the most iconic pieces of Ed’s gear history! This neck was owned and extensively used by Ed both on tour and in the studio with Van Halen from 1977 through the early 1980s. Ed personally modified the neck and installed it on at least six of his guitars, including his most famous creation, the “Frankenstein”, as well as his legendary “Star” guitar. He continued experimenting with this same neck on other guitars for nearly two decades, keeping it in his personal collection until 2001. This very neck is featured in Neil Zlozower’s book “Van Halen: A Visual History, 1978–1984,” and Eddie himself discussed it in the June 2015 issue of Guitar World magazine. Eddie himself has referred to this as his favorite guitar neck, making it an extraordinary piece of Van Halen and rock history!
