Pete Townshend’s 1974 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe

This 1974 Gibson Les Paul Standard was a radio station giveaway by The Who/Pete Townshend in 1982 from the WLS FM Radio Station in Chicago IL. The original courier receipt and shipping labels dated November 3, 1982, are also included, as well as the original case. It also comes with a photo of the guitar giveaway at the WLS FM radio station. This Les Paul was possibly used by Pete as a stage backup. Our old dear friend, Alan Rogan, who was responsible for all of the modifications on the guitar, verified this guitar back in 2007. And a big THANK YOU to John, the original WLS FM winner who has kept and taken great care of this guitar for 40 years!
