Geoff Nicholls, a good friend who is greatly missed. This is Geoff Nicholls’ personal 1996 Peavey EVH Wolfgang in Transparent Amber, serial number 91001051. Geoff received this guitar from Peavey in late 1996 or early 1997 when he was with Black Sabbath. Several Peavey promotional photos of Geoff posing with a Wolfgang were taken around this time. This is an early example of the Wolfgang and dates from the first year of production featuring a quilted maple top. The guitar retains its translucent amber finish and comes with its original case, tremolo arm, and all paperwork. Geoff also used this guitar in the studio with Quartz. Geoff called in 2016, when he was very ill, and offered me the guitar, knowing how much I had always liked it. I was in California at the time, so my good friend Malcolm Cope picked it up on my behalf. Malcolm, Geoff’s longtime friend and bandmate in Quartz, is pictured here with the guitar. Also pictured is a photo of the guitar taken by me many years earlier at Geoff”s home.
