Click on a photo to view full size image

This 1973 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe was owned and used by Lenny Kravitz. Lenny used this guitar at the John Lennon Memorial Concert in Liverpool, May 5th 1990. He also used this guitar on the 1991 European tour which included two concerts in New York. There are photos of Lenny with this guitar at the John Lennon Memorial Concert and a photo of Lenny playing what looks like this guitar on stage with Prince. On November 10th 1991, at the Alsterdorfer Halle in Hamburg Germany, an unfortunate accident happened.  After the concert while dismantling the speaker system, something heavy fell on top of the Les Paul case, breaking the headstock. Lenny being very upset, didn’t want to see the guitar again. He then gave it to someone present at the show and they had it repaired by a luthier. It was then offered to a gentleman who has had it since late 1991. There are numerous photos of Lenny playing this guitar.
