John Thomas’ Jaydee Black Custom Explorer The “Hooligan”

John Thomas, one of the most brilliant guitarists of our time. And this is John Thomas’ Jaydee Black Custom Explorer…named the Hooligan. Custom made for John in 1980 by my old friend John Diggins (Jaydee). This was the birth of the “Hooligan”, a name that John Thomas came up with. This was the very FIRST custom explorer shape that Jaydee made and the very first Hooligan. JT used this guitar from “1980 to Forever” and was his main work horse with Budgie and Phenomena. JT said that Randy Rhoads played this guitar as Randy was one of John’s best mates, and John was one of mine. A dear friend and dearly missed.  Live photo credits: Phil Neumann.
