John Thomas’ 1995 Gibson Les Paul Standard 1959 R9 Reissue “90 Caliber”

This is John Thomas’ favourite Les Paul of all time. John named it the “90 Caliber” and it was his prized possession. This 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard reissue was made in 1995. The top on this guitar is absolutely stunning and I am yet to see it’s equal. Some records show that only 550 R9’s were made in 1995. Both pickups are early 1980s Seymour Duncan Customs. John regularly played this guitar on stage with Budgie and cherished the Les Paul “90 Caliber” until he passed away. This is a favourite of my personal collection.
