Tommy Clufetos’ Meinl 19″ Prototype Crash Used On Black Sabbath’s The End Tour

This is Tommy Clufetos’ Meinl 19” Prototype Crash that he used with Black Sabbath on The End Tour. Model No. 180900454. The cymbal cracked during the tour, as a result of Tommy’s famously hard-hitting playing style. The cymbal is stamped “Meinl R&D Germany” and “Concept Model,” identifying it as one of the experimental prototype cymbals developed by Meinl Cymbals before final production specifications were established. The handwritten marking “B19HC/1900g” inside the bell refers to the model and factory weight. Combined with its use by Tommy Clufetos during The End Tour, this makes the cymbal an especially unique artist played prototype piece. The “Concept Model” designation indicates it was part of Meinl’s R&D/testing program rather than a standard retail production cymbal, adding another layer of rarity and collectability.

Tommy later signed the cymbal and inscribed “The End,” tying it directly to Black Sabbath’s legendary final tour. A genuine stage used piece from Black Sabbath’s final world tour, it shows the real wear and battle scars that came from being used night after night on stage. This comes with a detailed letter from Tommy Clufetos, further documenting the history and authenticity of this stage used cymbal.
