This 2004 Charvel EVH Art Series White & Black “Prototype Clone” was produced for Eddie Van Halen to personally inspect and approve ahead of the final Art Series production run. Built as a pre-production example, this instrument represents an important developmental piece tied directly to the launch of the 2004 EVH Art Series models. Designated as a Proto Clone, the guitar was created specifically for evaluation purposes, reflecting the construction, graphics, and specifications intended for the production series. Such prototype examples were made in limited numbers and used internally for final review and sign-off. It is accompanied by its original case, and original factory work order tag.
