Bobby Rondinelli’s U.S.A. German and U.K. Stage Flags From Black Sabbath’s Forbidden Tour
Click on a photo to view full size image
These are Bobby Rondinelli’s U.S.A., German, and U.K. flags that were mounted to the top of his gong stand during Forbidden Tour with Black Sabbath in 1995. One of the clearest known appearances of these exact flags can be seen during the band’s October 19, 1995 performance at Lisebergshallen in Gothenburg, Sweden, on the Forbidden Tour. Five still shots from the video can be seen pictured here.
The 1995 Forbidden Tour marked Bobby Rondinelli’s return to Black Sabbath after replacing Cozy Powell midway through the tour. The flags were acquired directly from my friend, who worked as Bobby’s drum tech for many years.
