Billy is pictured here with his Yamaha APX 9-12 12 string acoustic with built-in stereo electronics & pick-up. This is from the mid ’80′s. Blue sunburst finish with composite/wood back & sides. It can be panned RRR, LLL, or RLRLRL. This is one of the earliest APX designs. Billy used to write & party only with this guitar. It was never used to record or used live.
