This Guild X-82 Nova was owned and played by Richie Sambora. It was also played by Jon Bon Jovi on Alan Thickes show “Thicke of the Night” in 1983 or 1984. It was a custom order white with a single pick up and no pick guard. It was customized by Rod Schoepfer with pearl star inlays. It comes with a picture of Richie taken by Rod at Rods place in 1986 holding the guitar.
Richie Sambora’s The King Of Swing Rod Schoepfer Custom. This guitar was named “The King Of Swing” after Richie Sambora’s nickname. After the success and pleasure Richie had with his Schoepfer Les Paul (which we also sold), Richie Sambora commissioned a second custom guitar from Rod Schoepfer, “The King of Swing Guitar”. After 400+ man-hours of work this guitar was completed in 1987.
Richie used this guitar on the “Slippery When Wet” tour in 1987. Richie would often play this guitar when performing the Bon Jovi song “Let It Rock” as the lyrics reference the phrase “The King Of Swing“.
One of the rarest of Sambora guitars……The Rod Schoepfer Custom Les Paul from Richie’s early days in Bon Jovi. Used on every track on “Slippery When Wet” and most of “New Jersey”. Also used on half of “7800 Fahrenheit”. This comes directly from Rod Schoepfer’s assistant and friend. Comes with a letter of provenance and the contract for the sale of this guitar between Richie and Rod’s assistant. Please inquire for price.
